I’m so excited to share another incredible moment in the Josephine journey—our story about the Misko print™ has been featured in Viva Magazine! This is such a meaningful milestone for us, as it’s a chance to showcase not just the design itself, but the deeper connection behind it.
The Misko print™ is so much more than just a pattern—it’s a tribute to our whakapapa and heritage. Grounded in both Māori and Croatian influences, the design reflects my great-great-grandfather, Misko, and his story, alongside the connection to my Māori great-great-grandmother, Lucy of Ngāpuhi descent. It’s a print full of history, meaning, and love, and it’s incredible to see it celebrated in Viva Magazine.
The print itself, based on a gum tree, is a unique collaboration with whenua, and it tells a story of connection, whanau, and whakapapa that’s deeply personal. As we continue to grow Josephine, it’s moments like these that make it all so worthwhile.
I’m beyond grateful for the support of everyone who’s been part of this journey, and I can’t wait to see where the next steps take us.
If you haven’t already, you can check out the feature in Viva—and as always, I’d love to hear what you think about the Misko print™ and its story.
Thank you for being part of this beautiful adventure with us.
